Entrance Channels
The harbor can be entered by all classes of vessels from the north, east or from the south. The NE channel is narrow, but navigable with a width of and controlling depth of 8.8m. It is comparatively and well-marked with beacons, buoys and lights. The channel through the south approach is about 0.5 mile wide at narroweast ppint. The marginal wharf to the edge of the 165 to 200m iwth general depth of 9m. there are two patches with cleared depths to 6.7 and 8.5 m, respectively.

Port Facilities
The base port is divide into 2 general areas: the CIP and the Domestic Area. If offers the following: A 3-km. Berth length dedicated to coastwise shipping approx. 20,000 sq.m. of storage area; and A 10-HA. Multipurpose terminal referred to as the (International Port or CIP)

Harbour Facilities
The CIP terminal (Berths 1 to 7) offers a 690 m. of berth current draught of 9.5 m alongside.
